Planting a Living Legacy
Across Tamil Nadu

10 million native trees restoring ecosystems, supporting farmers, and protecting coastlines.

What is the V-Arch?

The V-Arch is our strategic framework for ecological restoration across Tamil Nadu. It's not just about planting trees—it's about creating interconnected green corridors that restore biodiversity and support communities.

The V-shape represents two critical axes:

  • Eastern Coastal Protection: Mangroves and coastal trees protecting against erosion and storms
  • Western Highland Restoration: Native forests restoring watersheds and wildlife corridors

At the intersection lies agricultural land where agroforestry creates sustainable farmer income while greening the landscape.

Native Tree Selection

Fruit Trees

Mango, Jackfruit, Tamarind, Guava

Timber Trees

Teak, Mahogany, Rosewood, Sandalwood

Medicinal Trees

Neem, Moringa, Tulsi, Aloe Vera

Coastal Trees

Mangrove, Casuarina, Palmyra Palm

Why native species? Native trees are adapted to local soil, climate, and ecosystems. They support indigenous wildlife, require less maintenance, have higher survival rates, and restore natural biodiversity.

Farmer Income Integration

Tree planting isn't just environmental restoration—it's economic empowerment for farming communities.

Agroforestry Model

Trees integrated with crops provide shade, prevent erosion, and generate timber income.

Long-term Revenue

Fruit and timber trees create sustainable income streams for 20+ years.

Climate Resilience

Tree cover protects crops from extreme weather and improves soil quality.

We work directly with farmers, providing saplings, training, and ongoing support. Farmers own the trees and harvest the benefits, creating a win-win for ecology and economy.

Coastal Protection Strategy

Tamil Nadu's 1,076 km coastline faces erosion, storms, and rising sea levels. Our coastal tree planting strategy creates natural shields protecting communities and ecosystems.

Mangrove Restoration

  • • Absorb wave energy and prevent erosion
  • • Critical habitat for fish and birds
  • • Carbon sequestration powerhouses
  • • Buffer against cyclones and tsunamis

Windbreak Trees

  • • Casuarina and Palmyra palm lines
  • • Reduce wind speed by 40-60%
  • • Protect agricultural fields
  • • Stabilize sand dunes

We've already planted 500,000+ coastal trees and aim to complete a continuous green belt protecting fishing villages and agricultural lands.

Geo-tagging Transparency

Every Tree is Tracked

We use GPS technology to record the exact location of every tree planted. Each tree receives a unique ID linked to planting date, species, location, and survival tracking.

Interactive Map Coming Soon: Sponsors will be able to view their sponsored trees on an interactive map, see growth updates, and track survival rates by region.
